This week's Hobo's Lullaby, WKCR's American folk and roots show, will explore music inspired by joblessness, poverty, and economic inequality. Tune in this Saturday, June 9th, from 4-6pm and hear a range of songs, some that date back to the Civil War era, and others that reach the period following the Great Depression, each one an artist's expression of the plight that is needing, lacking, losing, or simply running out of money.
