Adam Neely is a bassist and YouTuber with an engaged subscriber base of 650,000 people. His educational content explores what music means, and what it means to be a musician. He has appeared on TEDx, Vox, Ableton Loop, MAGfest, Bass Player Magazine, Electronic Musician Magazine and Ultimate Guitar. His channel has 60 million lifetime views and 2 million monthly views, making it the largest music theory channel on YouTube. Adam graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Jazz Composition from the Berklee College of Music in 2009, and graduated with an MM in Jazz Composition from the Manhattan School of Music in 2012. He has since worked as a bass player and educator in New York City. As a composer, Adam won the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer award in 2011, 2012, 2014, as well as the Jerome Fund commission in 2014 for his piece exigence. He has performed and toured across North America and Europe as a bassist for a wide variety of rock, pop and jazz artists, included performances on Live with Kelly and Ryan, SXSW and more.
