Live interview with Fay Victor and Jochem van Dijk, who receieved a joint commission for this year's TriCentric Festival. They diccuss how their collaboration and co-writing has evolved over many years of music-making and marriage, and the formative influences that have shaped the writing on the most recent album from the Fay Victor Ensemble, Absinthe & Vermouth (2013). Their new commission, Neighborhood Dynamics, is an hour long exploration of gentrification in Bed-Stuy. It will premiere at Roulette on April 12, with an expanded version of Fay's unit:
Fay Victor, vocals
Nicole Mitchell, flute
Vincent Chancey, French horn
Anders Nilsson, guitar
