Tune in to the Moonshine Show tomorrow, May 21 at 11:00 AM ET to catch an interview and live set with progressive bluegrass band Front Country. Front Country formed out of the San Francisco bluegrass scene in 2012, fusing traditional bluegrass instrumentation with modern and inventive songwriting and arranging. In 2012 and 2013 they won first prize at the RockyGrass and Telluride Bluegrass festivals band competitions. The contest wins bolstered their confidence in their unique mix of original songwriting, vocal harmonies and instrumental virtuosity, steeling their resolve to take a leap of faith and become a full time touring band. In 2014 they released their debut album For the Sake of the Sound to wide acclaim. They are currently touring to support their sophomore release Other Love Songs and will be performing at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory Sunday night at 7:00 PM.
