Microtonal music and homemade instruments highlighted this morning's Cereal Music programming. We had live in the studio microtonal composer Devon Yasamune Toyotomi talking about his own compositions and his NYC/Oslo Musical Exchange, with concerts at Montclair State University on Oct. 2nd and in New York City on Oct. 3. We also heard quartertone music of Charles Ives, and custom instrument-ensemble music of Harry Partch and Music for Homemade Instruments.
