Continuing with the lead-in from Afternoon Classical, Samuel Barber's "Mutations from Bach", we heard Bach's Cantata No. 23, which shares much of the same melodic roots as the Barber brass work. The rest of the program was dedicated to live broadcast performances by Glenn Gould from the 1950's and '60s, along with a recording of the English Suite No. 2 by Martha Argerich on the piano
