Today on WKCR Afternoon Classical, we celebrated the 160th anniversary of the birth of composer Leos Janáček with various orchestral, vocal, and chamber works by the composer. And to celebrate Independence Day, we heard vocal works by American composers from the American Academy in Rome, along with Roy Harris' Symphony 1933.
