The News Department, whose roots lay in its award-winning coverage of the Columbia University student strike of 1968, prides itself on consistently working to situate Columbia news in a broader context and bring global issues back to Columbia.
Most recently, WKCR provided extensive live coverage of demonstrations associated with Columbia University's Gaza Solidarity Encampment. WKCR News will continue to provide updates regarding campus demonstrations as they become relevant.
