Inclusion and Advocacy
Elaje is being recognized for her work at the Writing Center, where she serves as a Peer Fellow and as the Center’s Libraries Fellow. She works with students individually on their writing processes and projects, and has also helped design and run workshops for students on topics including citational and linguistic justice. Elaje is also a member of the UWP Racial Justice Working Group, and has helped write grants to secure funding for Writing Center programs and workshops furthering the project of anti-racism in the Center. She has also served as the Literature Humanities help room tutor for the Academic Success Program, helping prepare incoming freshmen for their core coursework.
I would like to thank my amazing parents, my siblings Sophie and Rumi, and my grandparents for their love and support over the past four years. I couldn’t have made it through without you! And I’d like to thank my wonderful friends for being so supportive, kind, and loving. I love you all!
