Kosisochukwu Ugorji studied Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, where she demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusion and advocacy through various leadership roles. As Vice President of Events for Columbia Synapse, Kosi played a key role in promoting awareness of brain injuries and invisible disorders. She organized faculty talks and conferences with a cumulative attendance exceeding 100 people.
Moreover, Kosi's dedication to fostering inclusion and support was evident in her role as a Co-Chair and mentor in the Columbia Mentoring Initiative's International Family Tree program. Her efforts in creating support structures for incoming international students significantly eased their transition to college life, bridging cultures and fostering a sense of belonging.
Kosi's dedication to inclusion extended to her role as Education Chair for Neurotech X Columbia. Here, she designed a course making neurotechnology education more accessible to the general public.
