Principled Action
Mommina Ashaque is a dedicated leader at Columbia College being recognized for her exceptional commitment to her community and notable accomplishments in relation to principled action. Through her active involvement in various healthcare initiatives- including her role in CU Red Cross/AMSA, organization of blood drives, laboratory experience investigating Alzheimer’s disease, and extensive involvement in hospitals and clinics- she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in patient care and support that she continuously implements within her community at Columbia. She demonstrates an acute understanding of the intricacies of mental health care and contributes greatly for its advocacy through crisis support lines, PreMed Paths, and on-campus affairs. She deeply values upholding cultural integrity for peers and fostering collaborative and nurturing environments, and she continues to make a positive impact in the medical field and within her community.
