Ahmet Cem Karadeniz (SEAS'22) is an undergraduate student and researcher from Istanbul, Turkey, studying mechanical engineering with a minor in entrepreneurship & innovation. As the Vice President of Policy in the Engineering Student Council, along with his peers, he successfully pushed for a pass-fail grading option for the academic year 2020-2021, and he helped initiate the ESC Resource Fund. In his senior year, he serves as the Vice President of the Class of 2022. He also serves as an undergraduate representative for the Mechanical Engineering Department, where he regularly acts as the voice of his classmates as he pushes for vast educational improvements. As the President of the Columbia Turkish Students Association, he worked to raise donations for those affected by natural disasters in Turkey and organized various speaker events. He also is a member of the Columbia Space Initiative NASA SPOCS Team and the Water Polo Club Team.
