Principled Action
Arianna Menzelos, a senior in Columbia College, is described as being "acutely aware of the crisis this world faces, and the ways in which they intersect and exacerbate one another." She was a persistent advocate at Columbia for achieving carbon neutrality. She co-authored a memo as a fellow for Data for Progress on the Green Marshall Plan and served as a Biden-Harris campaign policy volunteer. Arianna has interned at Columbia's Earth Institute, the California League of Conservation Voters, the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
Thank you so much for this award. I'm so grateful for mentors on- and off-campus who have encouraged me in pursuing climate action. I'm looking forward to a more equitable clean-energy future!
