Who: This workshop is open to undergraduates in Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
When: Friday, March 27, from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Where: 401 Lerner Hall
Workshop summary: Often it is difficult to develop your own writing project from the guidelines offered by a prompt. In this workshop we identify processes to help us take the first steps towards developing a compelling question and strong thesis around which to build an essay. Please bring to the workshop your draft, your research, and any other materials you have for your essay at this stage. Please also submit your essay prompt when you RSVP so that we can tailor the workshop to our attendees (or bring it to the workshop along with your other materials). If you are not currently working on an essay, you do not have to submit anything. Everyone is welcome, whether you are attending because of a specific project or merely to build your skills.
