Natalia immigrated to the United States from Colombia when she was just 7 years old. Now, looking back at her past of both hardship and accomplishments, Natalia is looking forward in continuing her scientific career as a researcher while continuing to advocate for Afro-latinx immigrants within the sciences. What is the next big step in Natalia's academic plan? She is planning on pursuing an MD/PhD and becoming a future teacher of medicine.
