At Columbia, James was a pre-law student majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Political Science. James was involved in Columbia University's Center for Justice and the Justice-in-Education Initiative as well as Columbia University Democrats, Columbia Pre-Law Society, Columbia Black Pre-Professional Society, and Columbia Society of Hip-Hop. He thanks his parents, friends, and extended family for supporting him and providing him with the opportunities and life lessons necessary to follow his dreams and achieve his goals.
