Bio
Emily Carrero Mustelier was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. During her time at Columbia, she has been researching Geophysics which she will continue pursuing a Ph.D. at Harvard University. She has also actively advocated for the advancement of Latinx in the United States and the inclusion of women, afrolatinx, and other minorities within the field of Geosciences. She dedicates her degree to her parents and to her family, here and on the other side of the Florida Straits.
