Principled Action
Aiden is a senior in Columbia College studying Comparative Literature & Society and Mathematics. He is interested in the intersection of science and society, particularly with regard to the histories of eugenics, mathematics and quantification, and radical political thought. On campus, he is interested in bringing academic discourse into the public sphere. He was editor-in-chief of Gadfly, an undergraduate philosophy magazine that works to make philosophical ideas accessible and relevant to contemporary cultural issues, and cofounded the Columbia Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics, which publishes undergraduate expository writing. Next year, Aiden will pursue an MPhil in the history and philosophy of science at the University of Cambridge as a Gates-Cambridge Scholar.
Thank you to (in no particular order): my faculty mentors across comparative literature, history, and mathematics; my friends; and, of course, my family.
