Inclusion and Advocacy
Changu Nan'gandu Chiimbwe is a senior at Columbia College studying English. As an immigrant from Zambia, she has always been a passionate believer in inclusivity, community, and kindness, particularly through the power of words. She has served as an editor or contributor at the following publications: Columbia Daily Spectator, the Columbia Political Review, and elsewhere. She is currently the first Managing Editor at the Columbia University Black Pre-Law Journal. Her commitment to inclusivity and advocacy has mainly been demonstrated through an interest in racial justice, human rights, and international law and politics. She hopes to continue this dedication in the legal sector and the arts & cultural sector after graduation.
I would like to thank my friends, family, professors, fellow students, and mentors for supporting me throughout my time at Columbia and for consistently making me believe in the power of community and diversity. And to Mom and Dad: Thank you for daring to cross oceans because you believed in my future. May I continue to honor you both in my journey.
