Award Recognition

Health and Wellness
Kate is being recognized to the promotion of health and wellness through her contributions to community health and disease research. Throughout her time at Columbia she has taken up different research projects, including spending a summer at the CDC-funded UCLA Public Health Scholars Program. Here, she worked for a non-profit that housed mentally ill families and individuals, where Kate developed and implemented health classes for adults and children. She has also dedicated the past year to working with a health start-up, Caraway health, to increase health access for GenZ women. Kate is very passionate about health equity, hoping to use her political science and public health education to drive equitable health policies in our country.
I would like to thank my parents, Maya, Jackson, and Ella for always supporting my projects and goals, and encouraging my passion for driving change in such an important field.
